Brass and glass compass in a heavy brass case, estimated from 1950s–1960s to 1960s, with dimensions 12 cm by 12 cm by 6 cm, weight 1000 g, origin United Kingdom, in good condition with minor signs of aging and spots and likely decorative in function.

AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A beautiful small compass in a heavy bronze case. The compass hangs on a cardan suspension and still looks good. The glass is very nicely cut. The mechanism is still functioning well, but I suspect it is a decorative compass. The origin is unknown, but I think it comes from England. The connoisseur will undoubtedly know. A lot of photos have been added so the condition of the compass can be assessed well. Photos are part of the description.

The compass will be very well packed, insured and sent by registered mail with a track and trace code. See also my other auctions and possibly save on shipping costs. Not shipped to the United States.
