A compulsive and spontaneous creator, Bruno Cantais lives in Lyon; he explores several techniques, ranging from abstract expressionism to Rauschenberg or De Kooning, through matter projections in the manner of Georges Mathieu, to Pop Art collage or the expressionism of Karel Appel, roaming the borders between abstract gesture and figurative representation. But his signature remains this physical painting, this material worked with the body, a testimony to the artist's intimate monologue.
