Technical Details and Description
Original acrylic painting on high-quality canvas, 500 g/m²
Size: 180 × 110 cm
Technique: Acrylic painting
One-of-a-kind, handmade and signed
After stretching onto a frame, the visible image format is approximately 172 × 102 cm (with a 2 cm canvas) or 168 × 98 cm (with a 4 cm canvas).
Moonlit Blossom presents a poetic composition of blooming branches that emerge from a deep, atmospheric blue. White blossoms open in different stages—from delicate buds to fully opened flowers—and seem to hover between darkness, fog, and soft light.
The deliberately reduced color palette is based on white and a deeply mixed blue shade created from ultramarine, dark red, and black. Through varying proportions, numerous subtle gradations arise—from almost pure white to cool, bluish intermediary tones to a very dark, almost black blue.
The background evolves from deep, dark tones in the lower area to a softer, luminous blue. The blossoms also reflect this color world: some stand out brightly in the foreground, while others retreat with a higher blue content and nearly dissolve into the background. This creates multiple visual planes and a special spatial depth.
Fine, curved branches guide the eye through the large-format composition and connect the individual clusters of blossoms. Deliberately released areas create calm and spaciousness and simultaneously amplify the effect of the light blossoms.
The interplay of light and darkness gives the work a quiet, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The white blossoms seem to glow from the depths of the blue background—touched by soft moonlight.
The title Moonlit Blossom precisely captures this special lighting mood. It describes less a concrete nocturnal landscape than the poetic effect of the painting: a quiet moment between light and darkness, in which the blossoms seem to glow for a moment.
The painting is carefully rolled for shipment and packed in a sturdy shipping tube for protection.
About the artist
Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has been dedicated to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance stillness and movement, structure and lightness.
Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metallic foils—combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions. Through harmonious color gradients, balanced forms, and luminous accents, her works fill the space with calm and positive energy.
Her works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg and are now in private collections in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates.
