Description from the seller
JonOne – The Gesture and the Meaning, 2025
Original silkscreen on pure rag Opal paper measuring 50 x 70 cm.
Rare and sought-after print, justified as a "Tirage d’essai" (proof), hand-signed by JonOne at the bottom right.
This state/edition is not part of the regular editions, making it an especially attractive print for art lovers of the artist’s work.
Printing technique using a puffing ink that adds a slight relief, a tactile sensation and a dynamic material feel, typical of JonOne’s spontaneous, gestural visual language.
Work in perfect condition, never framed, kept flat.
We ensure meticulous packaging, international tracking, insurance, and express shipping for all our deliveries.
Biography: JonOne (French-American, born in 1963 in New York), renowned for works influenced by graffiti, was born in Harlem, where the art of colorful, elaborate graffiti evolves. He began creating graffiti of his name with a childhood friend from the age of 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to bring together graffiti artists’ passion.
After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a canvas painter in a studio. He quickly made a name for himself in Parisian artistic circles with his canvases, was exhibited in 1990 at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work was presented permanently. His works are among the most significant auction results in the graffiti world.
