Usain St. Leo Bolt (Sherwood Content, Trelawny, 21 August 1986) is a former sprinter from Jamaica. He is the current world record holder and Olympic champion in the 100 m, 200 m, and the 4 x 100 meter relay. Moreover, Bolt, nicknamed 'The Lightning Bolt' and 'Thunderbolt', holds the world junior record in the 200 m with 19.93 seconds and, as a junior (under 20), was the only one to run that distance under 20 seconds. Bolt competed in the Olympic Games four times. He is also the first athlete to win both the 100 m and the 200 m at three consecutive Olympic Games (2008-2016). He also won the 4 x 100 m relay twice. On the list of the most successful Olympic Summer Games medalists, he sits in a shared tenth place after the 2016 edition. On August 12, 2017, he participated in his last race in the 4 x 100 m relay at the World Championships in London, where he fell out as the final runner with a hamstring injury to his left leg just as he was about to surge from third position.
