Wardell Stephen (Steph) Curry II (Akron, March 14, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who turned pro in 2009 with the Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2015 and 2016 and is a five-time NBA All-Star. He was a champion in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors in the 2014/15, 2016/17, and 2017/18 seasons. Curry also plays for the U.S. men’s national basketball team. With this team he won gold at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2010 and 2014.
During the 2009 NBA Draft, Curry was selected by the Golden State Warriors. He signed a four-year contract worth $12.7 million.
