Le Yack - Suddenly, Last Summer - Hand signed

On the tiled quayside of a Mediterranean port, a woman with a 1930s crimped hairstyle, wearing a long white satin backless gown and high-heeled sandals, a clutch in hand, turns toward the viewer. Behind her, moored yachts and sailboats, a monumental Art Deco hotel, palm trees, and to the right a black limousine with gleaming chrome, beside which a chauffeur in uniform waits. Semiotically, the scene captures the moment of arrival or departure in the seaside luxury of the interwar period: the satin dress, the chauffeured car, the marina — elegance in transit. The bright white of the dress contrasts with the blues of the water and sky and the lacquered black of the automobile. Polished finish, meticulous reflections, and an Art Deco illustration spirit.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is artistic director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited in a network of around forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, the United States.
