Le Yack presents Bagdad Café - Hand signed, a limited edition 60 × 40 cm giclée on canvas signed by the artist in 2026, in excellent condition with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
On an abandoned service station on Route 66, in the middle of the desert, a garnet red Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray is stopped under the awning marked “CAFE,” near old Route 66 and Mobilgas pumps. Crouched against the front wing, a brunette woman with long hair, in a black lace negligee, stockings and heels, poses with a sidelong gaze. To the right, the star-shaped sign “ROY'S MOTEL CAFE” rises in the sky; in the distance, the desert mountains. Semiotically, the scene condenses the American road imagination: the red sports car, the ghost station, the sensuous beauty in the dusty setting — nostalgia and solitude of the great desert. The Corvette’s red and the lips’ red pop against the ochres of the sand and the pale blue of the sky. Smooth, illustrative facture, warm late-afternoon light.
