My works arise from an intuitive process in which color, form and space condense into their own visual language. The starting points are sketches, architectural structures, or individual color fields. As the painting process progresses, compositions are overlaid, altered and renegotiated until a balance between clarity and openness emerges.
Architecture plays a central role. Buildings, facades and geometric shapes become vehicles for inner states, memories and atmospheres. The works move between representational and abstract and open up spaces for personal associations.
