My works arise from an intuitive process in which color, form and space coalesce into their own visual language. Starting points are sketches, architectural structures or individual color fields. As the painting progresses, compositions are overlaid, altered and renegotiated until a balance between clarity and openness emerges.
Architecture plays a central role in this. Buildings, facades and geometric forms become carriers of inner states, memories, and atmospheres. The images move between figuration and abstraction and open up spaces for personal associations.
"HAVEN" is part of this ongoing series of works.
