DESCRIPTION
A refined and elegant artistic reproduction from the modern era (1990s) of an ancient askos (ritual jug/container for oil or wine) decorated in red-figure style / over-painted by a Magno-Greek school (Apulian).

The object was produced in Italy in the 1990s (as indicated by the inscription under the base) using a finely worked plaster-clay paste to recreate the texture, porosity, and material appearance of the original historical artifacts.

Decoration and Iconography:
Side A: A standing/dancing female figure with a chiton and floral/architectural decorative motifs.

Side B: A dancing satyr / male mythological figure in motion with a horn/rhyton.

Details: Black satin background enriched with vegetal motifs (leaves, grapevines) and a geometric belt in the form of a taenia/Greco-roman pattern along the lower belly. Artificially aged patina with a strong visual impact.
