Scheen (often referred to as Leo Scheen) is a well-known pseudonym of the Dutch painter A. Blok. He was born in 1935 in Rotterdam. As a self-taught artist, he mainly focused on traditional, lively harbor scenes, seascapes, and winter landscapes. He drew strong inspiration from renowned masters of the Hague School and the Rotterdam School, such as Evert Moll and Hendrik Willem Mesdag.
