Technique: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 40 × 50 cm
Year: 2026
Artist: Dgino Chobert

Description:
Afterimage is an original work painted by the French painter Dgino Chobert in 2026.
This oil on canvas painting presents a human figure deconstructed into a succession of geometric shapes, lines and colored planes. The fragmented face combines cool tones — blue, deep blue, turquoise and gray — with warm accents of orange and yellow.
The stylized hands convey a sense of movement and reinforce the tension of the composition. The black outlines structure the different planes and give the work a strongly assertive graphical dimension, while variations in texture and shade add depth and relief.
Through this fragmented construction, Afterimage explores perception and the persistence of the image, between figurative representation and geometric abstraction. The gaze is guided between the face, the central eye and the hands, creating a dynamic and expressive composition.
The work is signed bottom left. The title, technique, dimensions, the artist's name and the year are also inscribed on the back of the canvas.
