Description from the seller
Award-winning Glen Ord 12-Year-Old single malt whisky from the Ord distillery, dating from the 1990s.
Glen Ord is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in Muir of Ord, northwest of Inverness on the Black Isle. Founded in 1838 by Thomas Mackenzie, it has long been linked to one of Scotland's key barley-growing regions. Its output was subsequently distributed by companies such as James Watson & Son, Dewar's, DCL, and Scottish Malt Distillers, before the distillery was incorporated into the Diageo group. Today, Glen Ord is best known for its "The Singleton of Glen Ord" whisky, though a significant portion of its production goes into Diageo's blended whiskies. The distillery operates its own large-scale maltings and significantly increased its production capacity during the 2010s.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Malty, slightly spicy, with a faint hint of peat.
Palate: Full-bodied (medium to full). Very rich, fruity, spicy, and malty.
Finish: Long and complex.
