Spine illustrated with an elephant head on a black background. All edges gilt. Illustrated with drawings by Férat, etched by D. Dumont.
Corners and spine tips very slightly worn, foxing, some gatherings buckled.
Otherwise a beautiful copy of the original edition of this adventure novel by Louis Boussenard, who in his lifetime was nicknamed the French Rider Haggard. Published in the collection Les Grandes Aventures by Flammarion.
