Description from the seller
Nocturnal Auroras from the Derivas Series
Unique work
In Derivas, Ella Suárez develops an investigation into the landscape understood as an expanded field, where forms are not fixed but move, transform, and continually reconfigure themselves.
The works are positioned in a territory between the recognizable and the abstract. Through undulating structures and transitioning planes, they evoke reliefs, horizons, and geographic features that do not belong to a specific place, but to an experience of a landscape in constant change.
The concept of extended landscape runs through the series as a way of thinking the surroundings beyond its physical limits. Space expands, the horizon dissolves, and depth is constructed through layers that fold, open, and overlap. In this context, relief ceases to be stable and becomes a living matter subject to processes of mutation.
Color acts as structure and energy. The ranges are organized in transitions that generate tension and continuity, shaping a visual rhythm that suggests movement, atmosphere, and time. Each plane responds to an internal logic that balances density and fluidity, building a landscape that never presents itself as definitive.
In Derivas, the landscape ceases to be an image and becomes a process: a way of perceiving in which matter, color, and time are in a state of permanent transformation.
Authenticity of the work:
Each piece is hand-signed on the back of the canvas, guaranteeing its authenticity and preserving the visual purity of the pictorial surface. The signature includes the title of the work, the year of realization, and Ella Suárez’s signature. The piece is accompanied by an Authenticity Certificate (COA), validating its origin and authorship.
Clarifying note:
Reference images may show slight tonal variations from the original work due to lighting in the spaces, which can affect contrast or color temperature, as well as differences between viewing devices. The photographs have been made with the utmost care.
Shipping details:
The work will be shipped rolled in a protective tube, a method that ensures its safety during transport and offers a more economical and sustainable option. The canvas includes an extra 5 cm margin on each side to facilitate re-stretching, which can be done by the buyer or by a professional.
