Description from the seller
Serving bowl made by the prestigious Belgian crystal factory Val Saint Lambert.
The bowl is crafted from high-quality smoked glass (smoke glass) and was produced around the 1970s.
The design is notable for an organic, openwork scalloped edge that evokes a flower or sun rays. In the center there is a refined, radial starburst pattern that beautifully refracts the light.
This type of dinnerware combines the sleek elegance of Mid-Century Modern style with influences from the earlier Art Deco period. Smoked glass was a huge interior trend in the 70s and 80s and is currently making a big comeback among vintage design enthusiasts.
