Ancient Boiken food bowl. Prince Alexander Mountains, East Sepik province. Hardwood deep bowl with beautiful patina from use and deeply incised motifs. Probably the first half of the 20th century. Collected in the 1960s or 1970s by Jac Hoogerbrugge and directly from his collection.
