In this painting, "Connections", vertical fields, lines, circles and small geometric signs build a visual language made of contrasts and relationships. The warm tones of yellow and red dialog with blues, deep blues and blacks while the painterly material allows traces and irregularities of the workmanship to emerge. The circular shapes interrupt the vertical structure and introduce movement, creating different points of observation within an energetic and contemporary composition.
PAOLO CONTIN has been developing for over twenty-five years a personal artistic path in continuous evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the world of fashion, he transfers to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. Followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad with presence in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney.
An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, far from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the confines of painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without pre-set formulas: every work is born from the desire to preserve freedom, identity and expressive authenticity.
