Description from the seller
Fighting Rooster
Fighting rooster is a figurative work of contemporary language that presents a character with a strong presence, captured in a serene yet character-filled attitude. The figure, protected by dark glasses and a wide-brim hat, becomes the absolute center of the composition, while his clothing in vivid colors reinforces his personality and singularity.
The work stands out for a free, energetic, and gestural brushstroke, where greens, turquoises, reds, yellows and blues intertwine, creating a luminous and vibrant atmosphere. The vegetal and tropical environment functions as a backdrop and enhances the warm, summery character of the scene.
The title introduces a symbolic dimension: the fighting rooster as a figure of strength, pride, resilience, and determination. Without the need to depict an explicit action, the stance of the character transmits confidence and a challenging attitude, making him an almost iconic presence.
A work of great chromatic power and personality, which combines figuration and gestural expressiveness to build a contemporary portrait full of character, vitality, and attitude.
