Description from the seller

The Siesta
The Siesta is a contemporary language work that captures a moment of rest and abandonment, exploring the intimacy of the body through a close and fragmented composition.
The figure appears gathered in a moment of repose, without the need to show the face or build a conventional portrait. The body becomes the true protagonist of the work: arms, hands, and torso interlace in a composition that conveys stillness, comfort, and a sense of time suspended.
The painting stands out for a delicate palette of whites, creams, muted greens, pinks, and blues, pierced by deeper brushstrokes that delineate and structure the forms. The contrast between luminous areas and dark strokes adds rhythm and depth, while the visible brushwork preserves spontaneity and the material character of the painting.
The Siesta transforms a everyday gesture into a poetic image about rest and intimacy. The absence of unnecessary narrative elements allows the viewer to focus on the serenity of the moment and on the expressiveness of the body itself.
A subtle and elegant work, of great painterly sensitivity, that transmits calm, silence, and the beauty of those moments when we simply allow ourselves to stop.

Brief Bio: I am particularly interested in creating compositions that offer the viewer a point of view with which they can identify. Whether through discomfort, serenity, or contemplation, my aim is to generate a space for reflection and questioning. Technically, I am drawn to vibrant colors, strong saturations, and fresh tonal ranges.
I find a great source of inspiration in observing our social and natural environment. I often like to imagine that I am observing the planet from very far away; that symbolic distance allows me to rethink reality from another perspective. I also explore the universe of what is feminine, addressing its multiple dimensions from a personal, sensitive, and introspective gaze.
