Description from the seller
Orange flowers
Orange flowers is a contemporary still life in which color becomes the main protagonist. A lush bouquet of roses sits at the center of the composition, accompanied by a bowl of oranges and placed on a table that seems to extend into the viewer's space.
The orange, pink, green and yellow tones build a warm, luminous scene full of vitality. The flowers, far from aiming for a meticulously realistic representation, are constructed with quick, expressive brushstrokes that capture their shape, volume, and, above all, their energy.
The background combines different planes of color and spontaneous strokes that suggest an interior without describing it completely. This compositional freedom allows the painting to retain a sense of immediacy and movement, while everyday objects —the flowers, the fruit, the vase and the table— acquire an almost staged presence.
The contrast between the warm tones of the bouquet and the deeper areas of blue and green adds depth and makes the composition pulse. Roses and oranges thus celebrate the beauty of the everyday from a contemporary pictorial perspective, where color, matter and gesture have as much prominence as the objects depicted.
A cheerful, luminous work with strong chromatic force, designed to convey warmth and vitality through spontaneous and expressive painting.
