Vintage platinum diamond bar brooch from the 1950s, with 73 natural diamonds totaling about 4.60 ct, set in platinum, measuring 7.18 cm long by 8.88 mm wide, in very good condition and without a laboratory report.

Vintage Platinum Diamond Brooch
Type of jewel: Vintage diamond bar brooch
Condition: In well-preserved condition, especially given the jewel’s age.
Style: Art Deco Revival, expressed through its linear geometric design.
Era: Circa 1950.
Material: Platinum (touchstone tested).
Diamonds: 48 diamonds with an estimated total weight of approximately 3.84 ct (colour and clarity: G–I, VS–SI); and 25 diamonds with an estimated total weight of approximately 0.75 ct (colour and clarity: G–I, VS–SI).
Total diamond count: 73.
Total diamond weight: Approximately 4.60 ct (colour and clarity: G–I, VS–SI).
Diamond weights, colour and clarity are approximate, as the stones were assessed in their settings and were not removed in order to preserve the integrity of the jewel.
All diamonds in this jewel were individually tested with the EXA Natural Diamond Detector by Magilabs and identified as natural diamonds.
Traditional gemstone associations: Diamond is the traditional birthstone for April and is associated with a 60th wedding anniversary.
Dimensions: Length 7.18 cm; width 8.88 mm.
Weight: 13.5 g.
