An 1800s Sicilian ceramic amphora vase. Signed at the base by the craftsman who decorated it. It was an amphora used in ancient times for functional water storage and was commonly used in rural areas. It is a rarity as an ornamental piece finely decorated with floral motifs, showing signs of wear and restoration on one of the handles. An elephant-shaped artisanal piece, thrown on the wheel and fired in a wood-fired kiln using traditional inland Sicilian ceramic techniques. Dimensions: height 47 cm and width 24 cm.

Era una anfora utilizzata in epoca antica a scopo funzionale per la conservazione dell'acqua e veniva spesso utilizzata in zone rurali. 
È una rarità come pezzo ornamentale finemente decorato floreale con segni di usura ed intervento di restauro su uno dei manici. 
Manufatto artigianale elefante e realizzato al tornio con cottura forno a legna della ceramica tradizionale dell'entroterra siculo .
