Biography
Ottmar Hörl studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and with Klaus Rinke at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. The German conceptual artist works with a variety of expressive forms and became internationally known through his time-limited large-scale projects with serially produced sculptures in public space. For Ottmar Hörl, art is an organizing principle and an occasion for communication, meant to provoke thought and to have an impact in society.
