Heavy Greek-Byzantine sterling silver (925) cross pendant with a thick Venetian chain, total weight 57 g, pendant 7.5 cm tall (6.5 cm without the bail) and 5.1 cm wide, chain length 38.2 cm, Greek fineness mark 925 with maker’s mark, red cabochon gemstone on the bail, in very good vintage condition from Greece (Athens).

Heavy Greek-Byzantine Sterling Silver (925) Cross Pendant/Amulet with Venetian Chain – 57 grams. Robust silver crucifix pendant in a monumental Byzantine style, complete with a matching, thick Venetian link chain. The front of the quatrefoil cross features a detailed relief depiction of Jesus Christ on the cross, flanked by the traditional Christogram "IC XC" (Iesous Christos). The back displays a beautiful, continuous Celtic/Byzantine knotwork design, with the Greek letters Alpha and Omega (α - Ω)—symbolizing the beginning and the end—at the center. The movable suspension bail at the top is set with a small, red cabochon-cut gemstone. The piece has been thoroughly inspected and is guaranteed to be made of high-quality silver. The official Greek fineness mark "925" (Sterling silver) is stamped on the outer edge, alongside the silversmith's mandatory maker's mark. Total weight: 57 grams. Pendant height (including bail): 7.5 cm. Pendant height (excluding bail): 6.5 cm. Pendant width: 5.1 cm. Total length (chain + pendant laid flat): 38.2 cm. Chain type: Venetian link (box chain).
