In Casablanca, Morocco), a girl looks out from the VOG Café, facing United Nations Square: she is one of the many extras portraying football supporters of the Moroccan national team during the shooting of a commercial for a telephone company. The photograph was taken in 2025 in the context of a reportage on the Moroccan city, a true gateway to Africa and the cradle of a new generation of educated, aware, inclusive young people, open to the world, close to Islamic traditions but at the same time bold and creative.
The image is signed on the back and measures 30x40 cm. It is printed in a limited edition (25 copies) on Hahnemühle Baryta FB 350 g paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Alessandro Gandolfi is an Italian professional photographer and journalist. Interested in telling the small and large changes of contemporary society, his reports have appeared in outlets around the world and have been exhibited in various international photographic exhibitions and festivals. He has received international recognitions such as the Sony World Photography Award, the NPPA Best of Photojournalism, the POY - Pictures of the Year, and the PDN. Eight of his reports published in National Geographic Italia have earned the “Best Edit Award” as the best reportage published across the magazine’s various local editions.
