Pair of high-backed armchairs in turned walnut, with flat shelf-like arms on turned balusters and cross-joined legs. The backs feature panels in Cordovan leather impressed and gilded with a central rosette within a geometric frame, edged by dense studding — a style linked to the tradition widespread in Italy between the 16th and 17th centuries for ceremonial furniture. 
Seat recently restored and reupholstered in gold satin. 
Both chairs show a metal sliding reinforcement to stabilize. 
There are cracks in the leather of both armchairs (to be restored). 
Restorations. 
Provenance: from a refined connoisseur’s private collection.

Coppia di poltrone a schienale alto in noce tornito, con braccioli piatti a mensola su balaustri torniti e gambe  raccordate a croce.. Gli schienali presentano pannelli in “cuoio di Cordova” impresso e dorato a rosetta centrale entro cornice geometrica, bordati da fitta borchiatura — tipologia riconducibile alla tradizione diffusa in Italia tra Cinque e Seicento per l’arredo di rappresentanza.
Seduta ripristinata recentemente e rivestita con raso dorato.
entrambe le sedie mostrano un rinforzo metallico a slitta per stabilizzare.
Sono presenti delle crepe sul cuoio di entrambe le poltrone ( da restaurare).
