The artistic and multifaceted talent of Paolo Desario shines forth with force from his works, releasing a vital energy that is almost tangible. His inspiration starts from an inner search with ancient and primal echoes, as suggested by the sinuous female torsos and the winged figures. He manages to combine reality and transcendence through ever-new insights, knowing how to forge an original synthesis between the individual predilection for the essential nature of forms and the most attentive contemporary sculptural research.

Sculptor and painter, Paolo Desario was born in Barletta, in Apulia, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari in the sculpture school of Amerigo Tot. He lives and works in Barletta, and has taught Plastic Arts at the State Artistic High School "Sacro Cuore" of Cerignola and at the Art High School of Corato. He boasts an artistic career begun almost 50 years ago, dedicating himself to sculpture and painting, participating in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions.
