Magnificent complete set of vintage earthenware/English Ironstone and Dutch pottery, rustic countryside decor and bucolic scenes in brown/sepia/cream tones (Transferware).
A complete and very elegant collection to set a beautiful countryside table, to complement a collection, or for fans of charming décor and antiques.
Contents of the lot (33 pieces):
• 6 coffee/tea cups and their 6 matching saucers (Memory Lane - British Anchor)
• 1 large jug/water pitcher (Maastricht Ceramic Company - Old Bridge)
• 1 large oval serving dish (Countryside scene / Watermill)
• 1 large deep round serving bowl
• 1 scalloped-edged salad bowl (J. Marshall & Co. - Bosphorus)
• 17 assorted plates (flat plates, dessert plates, and bread plates among the marks English Ironstone Tableware, Myott - The Hunter, Johnson Brothers, British Anchor).
Condition:
Very good overall vintage condition. No major chips. An authentic aged patina with slight crazing under glaze on some pieces, evidence of their age.
