Description from the seller
Title: "Beyond the Golden Fields"
This oil on canvas by Roberto Mauri, square format (30x30 cm), presents itself as a vivid and stylized snapshot of a rural landscape. The composition is structured on strong horizontal color bands that guide the gaze toward a distant horizon.
The foreground is dominated by a dense, tactile texture of short and saturated brushstrokes, where the dark green of the grass blends with lively touches of yellow and orange, evoking a meadow in full bloom. Just above, a vast expanse of bright yellow extends across much of the canvas, representing a canola field or wildflowers illuminated by the sun.
In the center of the scene, the composition is enriched with narrative elements. On the right, an imposing tree, rendered with a ball-shaped crown of texturized white flowers, almost foamy, towers over the yellow field. On the left, a similar tree, smaller, balances the scene. Between the two trees, a small stylized rural house with a red roof and white walls adds a touch of human presence and domestic life to the pristine landscape.
Beyond the fields, a thin dark line of sea separates the land from the sky. On the surface of the water, four small stylized sailboats are rendered with simple white brushstrokes, suggesting a sense of distance and coastal tranquility.
The upper part of the canvas is occupied by an intense, uniform blue sky, animated by light, fluffy white clouds. The artist's signature, "MAURI", is clearly visible in the lower right corner.
In this work, Mauri combines a bold, saturated palette with a nearly naive geometric composition, creating a piece that is at once energetic and serene—a vibrant celebration of the beauty of nature and rural life.
