Antique, wooden accordion-style coat rack (also called accordion coat rack).
These were popular in France and Germany between 1890 and 1930. 

The frame features a hinged scissor mechanism, allowing you to adjust the width as desired (maximum 95 cm).

The wooden slats are decorated with turned woodwork (bobbin- or spool-style), characteristic of furniture from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
