This work in the format 80 × 80 × 4.5 cm is created on a broad, high-quality canvas and moves between painting and sculpture.
In the light, the surface unfolds a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, texture and depth change, individual planes become more prominent. The work appears spatial and physical – perception arises when walking, standing, or lingering.
Frequency DEEP VIOLET — Sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency Series is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I translate rhythm, pause and repetition into a visual structure.
The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions create tensions comparable to held tones, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Artwork details:
Title: Frequency Series
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and Heavy-Gel structure paste on canvas, built up in layers with different spatulas. The pigments form elevations and overlays with calm, pulsating tension.
Only top-quality materials are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex – all locally produced in Austria.
Frame: Wide supporting frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Pictures: The images were taken under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the works under direct or indirect light to fully bring out the color play and make the works come alive.
