Marco Amore - Circe-Odissey

In the painting, the goddess appears as a living sculpture: the polished, almost marble-like face emerges from the darkness, while sinuous snakes wind through her hair and over her shoulders, symbols of arcane power and metamorphosis. The veil that frames her face makes her both sacred and mysterious, as if she guarded ancient knowledge.
In her hand she holds a cup, shiny as a water mirror, which seems to contain the very essence of the enchantment.
The light, grazing and delicate, sculpts every detail — from the veins in the stone to the folds of the fabric — transforming the figure into a bridge between myth and matter.
Circe is not here the cruel witch, but the priestess of silence, aware of her own power and of the loneliness that it entails.
