Splendid parchment binding, in a case, in silk, with writings and drawings impressed in gold on the faces, pages not numbered, about 200, including the splendid geographic maps and initial capitals, on special paper, Latin text in two columns; pages X, 307 in Italian, almost all with text in two columns, always on special paper, edition of great value, in a limited, numbered edition. The volume is a facsimile reproduction of the work Ptolemaei Tabulae Cosmographicae printed by J. Roger in 1486 in the German city of Ulm, with pages taken from other incunabula in better condition. To produce it, a paper was chosen whose special characteristics closely resemble that used by the original incunabulum. To reproduce faithfully the tint of the original paper, an additional color was introduced in the printing stage. The fading that appears in some parts of the work is also present on the original incunabulum. The present edition is in 2 volumes with a cover in Marine parchment paper and gold-pressed ornaments. The case is in cloth, handmade with gold impressions. The Latin facsimile is produced with a special Corolla Bianca paper from Fedrigoni, printed in 5 colors to reproduce the original paper tint and bound with an ancient artisanal technique.
