Sweet silence/Słodka cisza: This painting reflects the state of mind of the heroine. She is young and beautiful. She wears a beautiful hat, an unusual detail for contemporary girls, and a beautiful white collar on her bare body. She seems somewhat plucked from another time. Two large parrots sit on her shoulders. They are silent and watch the viewer. In this moment of silence, the heroine closes her eyes and takes a breath. She is not sleeping; she rests for a moment from the bustle of this world. The painting is titled Sweet Silence. The romantic heroine, the silent birds, and the fresh, warm colors form a cohesive composition. It is very important to live in one’s own world, to disconnect from what is happening, to listen to life and to live by it.
My name is Juliya Navarych. I am 35 years old. For five years I have been living in Poland with my husband and daughter. I was born and raised in Belarus in the small town of Pinsk. I graduated from the Pinsk Art School (2004-2008) and studied in the Graphic Design Department at the Pinsk State College of Fine Arts (2008-2012).
I paint with oil paints on canvas—this is my favorite material. I like vivid colors, unusual, impressive paintings that attract the eye.
I want to show viewers how completely different people, objects, animals, and colors can harmonize with each other, forming one composition. I try to reveal and emphasize the beauty of the most important things, to show a woman’s beauty, individuality. I like to combine different patterns, textures, and colors. My art is my imagination, what comes to mind on its own. I am interested in a style that is ethnically inspired, a mix of something folk/antique, when many things spread across one canvas.
