“L’Histoire Du Monde de C. Pline second“, 2 parts in 1 volume, 1608.

An extensive natural history work in French, which covers numerous topics of ancient natural science and scholarship, including cosmology, geography, zoology, botany, medicine, mineralogy, metals and gemstones as well as art and crafts.

The pages are mostly well preserved, partly a little brownish and with a few isolated spots. The remainder of the first title page has been mounted on a separate leaf. The title and the following page are severely loosened.

From the title page to page 59 there are worm traces throughout, initially more pronounced and diminishing toward the end. In addition, some pages later in the book show occasional light worm traces in the lower corner area. Further back, the traces sometimes increase again.

In the index at the end, the last four leaves show some tears at the margins as well as light missing sections, without loss of text. The two preceding leaves each have a larger crease.

The binding is rubbed, the corners and joints are cracked, the spine has been restored.

Overall in used condition.
