Artwork Description & Interpretation
“Cúpulas de Luz Nº 16” forms part of the universe of Emergetism, an artistic philosophy developed by Carolina Bellachi. The term does not refer to the concept of an “emerging artist,” but rather to the act of emerging from within oneself.
Bellachi conceives her artworks as spaces for contemplation: places in which the noise of the outside world can momentarily disappear and the viewer can reconnect with the pure experience of the present moment.
The artist works with movement, light, matter, relief, and multiple layers and glazes, creating visual depth that gradually draws the viewer into the artwork. Rather than searching for a literal image, the viewer is invited to experience the piece through perception, emotion and the senses.
Emergetism understands the artwork as a mirror of consciousness: what emerges while contemplating the piece also comes from the observer’s own inner world.
With a background in Psychology, Carolina Bellachi combines her artistic research with a personal philosophy centered on consciousness, transformation and human personal evolution.
In “Cúpulas de Luz Nº 16”, an ethereal luminosity descends from the upper part of the composition through delicate turquoise and aquatic blue tones, gradually meeting a more intense, textured and organic lower area.
The reliefs, translucent layers and subtle touches of white, green and deep blue create a sensation of movement and emergence. Light seems to travel through the composition, transforming matter as it descends and creating an atmosphere suspended somewhere between depth and clarity.
The artwork does not represent a specific landscape. It creates a contemplative space in which the viewer can pause, reconnect with their senses and experience the present through their own perception.
The artwork is not intended merely to be observed, but contemplated.
