Pair of seven-armed menorah candlesticks, ca. 1850–1860
Pair of seven-armed menorah candlesticks from the period around 1850–1860.
Made from a brass/bronze alloy with cast and mounted elements. Both candlesticks stand on multi-tiered, polygonal bases with floral relief decor and foliate ornaments. The curved arms are symmetrically arranged and each bears seven candle sockets.
The surfaces show an age-related gold-brown patina with darker areas as well as partial green oxidation traces.
Dimensions per candlestick: approx. 42 × 29 × 22 cm
Total weight: approx. 6.1 kg
Dating: approx. 1850–1860
