BarBeni (1981) - The bath - After William Adolph Bouguereau

This piece is a recreation of one of the masterpieces by the great French academic painter, William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825–1905). Bouguereau was one of the most distinguished figurative painters of the 19th century, renowned for his exceptional ability to depict the human form, harmoniously integrating the female figure with nature, and creating soft, delicate textures in his paintings.

Bouguereau has always been an inspiration to me, and his works have played the role of an imaginary mentor in my artistic journey. Studying and recreating his techniques has felt like apprenticing under a great master. I have spent countless hours analyzing his brushstrokes, understanding his color compositions, and striving to capture the same delicacy and harmony in my own work.

The biggest challenge in this recreation was balancing warm and cool tones to achieve the right color harmony a quality Bouguereau mastered with remarkable subtlety. He was highly skilled in blending the female figure with nature, approaching the human body with the same precision and sensitivity as the Renaissance masters. The softness of the skin, the delicate folds of fabric, and the interplay of light and shadow are key elements of his work, which I have endeavored to preserve in this piece.

This painting is not only a tribute to one of the greatest artists in history but also the result of years of study, practice, and my deep passion for classical art and the techniques of the old masters.

My name is Behzad Mojarad Bigdeli, with the stage name "BarBeni",

I was born in 1981 in Tehran, Iran, and I completed my studies in the field of architecture and then received a two-year sculpture degree from Tehran University in the field of sculpture.

I learned to draw by myself and held several exhibitions on the topics of freedom, human rights and nature, etc. and won several awards in the field of cartoons and cartoons.

I have moved to Germany for almost three years and have participated in several group exhibitions in Oldenburg and Hamburg.

During this time, many of my paintings were sold on reputable sites such as Catawiki, SingularArt and Saatchi.

I am very interested in passing on my experiences and skills to the younger generation.
