Model History:

The Capeland collection represented the sportier side of Baume & Mercier’s range, combining traditional Swiss mechanical watchmaking with robust construction and practical complications.

Reference 65352 is a substantial automatic chronograph distinguished by its polished stainless steel case, engraved rotating bezel and glossy black dial with three grey subsidiary dials. The layout comprises running seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, together with a framed date display at 3 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the Baume & Mercier calibre BM 13750, based on the proven ETA/Valjoux 7750 architecture.

Condition:

The watch is in very good pre-owned condition. The stainless steel case retains its substantial shape, with light scratches and small surface marks from previous use. More noticeable scratches are present on the polished rotating bezel, particularly around the engraved numerals. The case back also shows scratches and normal surface wear consistent with its age. No major dents or significant external damage are visible.

The glossy black dial is in excellent condition, with no notable discolouration or damage. Its grey subsidiary dials feature a fine concentric finish and remain clean and clearly legible. The applied hour markers, printed details and framed date aperture are well preserved. The hands are also in good condition, with only minor age-related wear visible under close magnification.

The original sapphire crystal is in very good condition, without any significant scratches visible. The luminous material on the hands and hour markers remains active and still glows well.

The watch is fitted with a new black rubber strap and stainless steel pin buckle. Its original Baume & Mercier presentation box and instruction booklet are included and show some storage and handling wear.
