Editorial Vilamala – Large double-sided anatomical educational poster – The Mouth / Digestive System – Barcelona – ca. 1960s
Original and attractive mural educational poster of human anatomy in two sides, published by Editorial Vilamala, Barcelona.
A large-format piece designed originally as educational material for use in classrooms and educational centers.
The poster presents two different illustrations, one on each side:
No. 9 – THE MOUTH
Anatomical representation of the mouth and the tongue, including various structures and details:
● Mouth and tongue
● Section of a tooth
● Molar caries
● Different types of teeth
● Gums, nerves, dentin and enamel
No. 10 – DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
Large representation of the human digestive system, showing, among others:
● Esophagus and stomach
● Liver and gallbladder
● Pancreas
● Small intestine
● Colon
● Appendix
● Rectum
● Cross-section of the intestine
At the bottom it reads:

The illustrations are accompanied by abundant anatomical terminology in Spanish and preserve an attractive graphic aesthetic typical of mid-20th-century scientific and school material.
Measurements: 89 × 65 cm.
Condition: good overall considering its age and its original use as school material. It shows light signs of use, small marks, scuffs and some stains typical of the passage of time. Please study the photographs carefully, which form part of the description.
Especially interesting for collectors of antique school material, anatomy, medicine, history of education and scientific poster art, as well as for decorating medical clinics, pharmacies, studios or interiors with vintage aesthetics.
