In the light, the surface unfolds a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, structure and depth change, individual layers emerge more strongly. The work feels spatial and physical – perception arises while walking, standing, or lingering.
Frequency DEEP RED — Sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency DEEP RED is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist, I transfer rhythm, pause and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions create tensions comparable to held tones, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Work details:
Title: Frequency DEEP RED
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and Heavy-Gel texture paste on canvas, layered with various scrapers. The pigments form elevations and overlaps with calm, pulsating tension.
Only materials of the highest quality are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex – all locally produced in Austria.
Frame: Wide hanging frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The pictures were photographed under professional studio light. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the works under direct or indirect light to fully realize the color play and make the pieces come alive.
