AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Not your doll - 13 (n.675)
The measurements are:
- collage: 50.00 x 40.00 cm
- collage + passepartout + frame: 76.50 x 56.50 cm; thickness 2.50 cm
Acrylic painting on shredded paper mounted on canvas
Framed; ready to hang

I create paintings using acrylic paints and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash.

In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the latest pieces I have created.

On these little pieces of paper you can read scattered words and phrases here and there.
This is often how it is when we approach another person closely: sometimes we perceive their secret messages, sometimes not.

The work is sold framed and ready to hang thanks to the hook on the back.

The surface features small reliefs and I like to caress it, to feel it...
I also use acrylic resin on the surface, which gives a glossy finish and protects the colors from sunlight and dust.

Each piece is securely packaged, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrive in a completely secure package, including the Certificate of Authenticity.
I use DHL/UPS courier: shipping within Europe arrives in 24/48 hours; international shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. Some days of delay may be caused by customs clearance at borders.
Shipping takes about 7 days; about 10 days for non-EU countries.
A tracking number is provided.

Different light sources can give different colors to the photos.
The dimensions may vary slightly as I personally prepare the wooden frame, stretch the canvas, and mount it to the frame.

For more photos and information, please contact me!
Thank you.

Important notice for international buyers (non-EU):
Customs duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping costs. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. The amount should be between 10% and 20% of the artwork’s value.

Born in 1974 I am self-taught.

After an initial period devoted to sculpture there was a prolonged hiatus lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the “two dimensions” for reasons of time and space, leaving sculpture behind and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.

I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people both imaginary and real.

For me painting is about "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are “worn, eroded by time.” Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls, also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that – over time – grow on the surface.
The passing of time is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceivable by touch and to the naked eye.

Recently, after several years in which my works were made from small pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids with mathematical precision that up close appear to form a colorful abstract painting, but from a distance a portrait figure emerges from the many painted wooden discs.
Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all my works when I reproduce women's faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not the dolls of their partners and cannot be mistreated or, worse, victims of violence.
