Truly splendid antique copper bowl with detailed engravings and Islamic or Arabic calligraphy and geometric patterns. The bowl was made in Egypt and dates from the 19th century. It is finished with a tin coating (tinned copper) on the inside for functional use to make it suitable for food or water. The bowl is in perfect condition and is highly valuable.

On the bowl there is Arabic calligraphy in the Thuluth script, a monumental and elegant style characteristic of Islamic metalwork from the Mamluk period (13th to 15th century).

Werkelijk schitterende antieke koperen kom met gedetailleerde gravures en islamitische of Arabische kalligrafie en geometrische patronen. De kom is gemaakt in Egypte en dateert uit de 19e eeuw. Ze is afgewerkt met een tinlaag (tinned copper) aan de binnenkant voor functioneel gebruik om ze geschikt te maken voor voedsel of water. De kom verkeert in perfecte conditie en is zeer waardevol.

Op de kom staat Arabische kalligrafie in het Thuluth-schrift, een monumentale en sierlijke stijl die kenmerkend is voor de islamitische metaalbewerking uit de Mamelukse periode (13e tot 15e eeuw).
