Torah scroll plate, Austria-Hungary (estimated), late 19th century – silver-plated copper, lion and Tablets of the Covenant decorations, 32×23 cm.
An impressive and richly detailed plate, made of silver-plated copper, in classical relief work associated with sacred vessels from Central Europe. In the center are the Tablets of the Covenant, flanked by two roaring lions standing proudly, surrounded by prominent, hand-carved decorations.

The plaque also features two curled pillars topped with torches – one of which is missing. The top is decorated with a large crown in the style of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and is connected by an original hanging chain.

Condition: Age and patina are evident, one torch is missing.
