Description from the seller
Le Souffle de l’Aube is a contemporary figurative work that celebrates resilience, work and hope. Through a deliberately pared-down seascape, Magicest Landry highlights two fishermen engaged in an ancestral gesture: the casting of the net, a universal symbol of patience, transmission and trust in the future.
The composition is built around an upward movement, where the net seems suspended between sea and sky, creating a sensation of lightness almost poetic. The characters, dressed in red, become the visual tension points of the work and dialogue with the depth of marine and celestial blues. This chromatic contrast reinforces the emotional dimension of the painting, while the diffused light opens the space to a free and contemplative interpretation.
The pictorial approach favors simplicity of forms in order to focus the gaze on the emotion of the gesture. Each element is designed to evoke the dignity of human work, the bond between man and nature, and the constant quest for a better future.
This work is part of a contemporary narrative painting where color, composition and movement become the main vectors of the story.
Through her work, Magicest Landry explores themes of memory, African traditions, resilience and hope. Her works seek to transform everyday scenes into timeless images, where the human gesture becomes a universal language. Her style is characterized by a contrasted palette, balanced compositions and a constant pursuit of emotion.
