Pair of Art Deco bookends. Bronze seated bulldog, an elegant pair of Art Deco-era bookends (Circa 1920–1930) depicting two French Bulldogs, a high-quality model of execution, based on Hippolyte Moreau's animal creations (Franjou)
Unlike common models in Régule, these are a premium edition in genuine bronze, heavy and with the original brown patina; it is validated gilded metal. Versions with eyes cast in the mass. Unmarked. The subjects rest on their original veined marble bases, with an original central fixation system. Good overall wear with a magnificent patina.
