Description
Ancient and authentic LUXOR acetylene bicycle lamp, dating likely from the early 20th century.
The LUXOR brand is directly embossed in relief on the top part of the lamp and remains perfectly identifiable.
A very handsome model featuring a wide front headlamp with domed glass, surrounded by a multi‑ribbed metal collar. At the rear is the cylindrical reservoir for the carbide lighting system.
The lamp retains its mechanism and its various metal components, as well as its mounting system originally enabling its installation on a bicycle.
It shows a beautiful antique patina, with oxidation traces, marks and natural wear indicating its age and use. The piece has deliberately retained its authentic appearance.
A particularly decorative and interesting piece for collectors of antique bicycles, automotive and cycling accessories, industrial objects and early 20th‑century lighting.
