For information:
Here are the objective elements supporting the dating:
The silhouette style: The slender lines, the smooth "swan neck" shape and the very elongated asymmetrical spout extending upward are directly inspired by antique ewers, revived in France and Europe at the end of the 19th century.
The weight (985 g): For a 26 cm pitcher, nearly a kilo demonstrates ancient cast metal manufacturing, far from the light industrial reproductions of the mid-20th century.
The assembly technique: The circular weld line visible just above the base confirms a traditional artisanal assembly method (the body and bottom were cast separately and then welded), common at that time.
The "tin pest": The very characteristic black blisters observed on the neck testify to a molecular transformation of the metal that requires several decades of exposure to cold and humidity to develop, confirming an age of at least 100 years.
